Automated Data Capture for Work Instructions

This software option extends the SC-20 Work Assistance Camera with barcode scanning, QR code reading, and optical character recognition. Product identifiers, serial numbers, and other text previously requiring manual verification can be captured automatically and saved to the work log.

Capabilities

• 1D/2D code reading: Recognise barcodes and QR codes directly through the camera
• OCR text recognition: Capture printed text such as serial numbers, date codes, and product names
• Automatic logging: Save scanned data to CSV work logs for traceability
• User ID input: Operators can log in by scanning ID badges or codes instead of manual entry
• Job switching: Change job ID and reference ID by scanning codes for faster task transitions

Benefits

Eliminates manual data entry errors, speeds up operator login and job changeovers, and creates complete traceability records linking operators, products, and process data. Particularly useful for assembly verification where component identification must be documented.
